Roman Waschuk

Business Ombudsman of Ukraine (2022–26); Foreign Service Officer (1987–2019), including Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine (2014–19) and to Serbia, Montenegro, and Northern Macedonia (2011–14). After completing an MA in Central and East European History (University of Toronto), Waschuk worked as a historical researcher at Canada’s Commission of Inquiry on War Criminals (1985–86).
