Constance Uzwyshyn

Paper title: "Aesthetics of time: Slow violence and the full-scale invasion in the art of Alevtina Kakhidze and Igor Gusev"

Constance Uzwyshyn is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge; her topic is"Aesthetics of Time: The Palimpsest of Violence in War Art from Ukraine." Her master’s topic was "The Emergence of the Ukrainian Art Market." She has lectured at the Royal Academy and currently coordinates "Kultura," an online educational programme run by UIL that explores Ukraine’s visual culture and art history. She has authored War Diary for SCHUNCK Museum, published with CJLPA, produced artists’ monographs, and curated exhibitions. She previously directed the ARTEast Gallery in Kyiv and is launching Art Arsenal World, a charity supporting Mystetskyi Arsenal.
