Olenka Pevny

University associate professor and Fellow of Fitzwilliam College at the University of Cambridge. Served as director of Cambridge Ukrainian Studies and of Cambridge Central and East European and Eurasian Studies. Pevny worked as a curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, contributing to "The Glory of Byzantium" exhibition and its associated catalogue. She is the editor of Perceptions of Byzantium and Its Neighbors (2000) and author of "Art and transcultural discourse in Ukrainian lands of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" (2023), as well as other articles on various aspects of Ukrainian visual culture. Current book project is titled The Visual Biography of Kyiv’s Medieval Churches.
