Arthur McFarlane

Arthur McFarlane is a DPhil candidate in Soviet history at the University of Oxford. His research examines illegal migration and secret policing practices in Soviet Ukraine in the 1920s and 1930s. He is also a research analyst at the Ditchley Foundation, where he supports the foundation’s defence and geopolitics conference programme. He has written for The Financial Times, the Kyiv Independent, and Reason Magazine.
