Olha Korniienko

Olha Korniienko is a historian of modern Ukraine specializing in fashion and material culture, with a particular interest in cultural diplomacy, Ukraine’s international cultural presence, and decoloniality. The founder of the Ukrainian Fashion History Digital Archive, she is currently an MSCA4Ukraine Postdoctoral Fellow at the Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam. She is a graduate in history from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine's Institute of the History of Ukraine, and her current book project is “Fashioning Freedom: Ukrainian Soviet Fashion from World War II to Independence, 1945–91.” Recent fellowships include HURI, the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM), the Leibniz Centre for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin (ZfL), and the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and Centre for European and Eurasian Studies.
