Heather Coleman

Heather J. Coleman is a professor in the Department of History, Classics, and Religion and serves as director of the Research Program on Religion and Culture at CIUS, University of Alberta. She is the author of Russian Baptists and Spiritual Revolution, 1905–1929 (2005), co-editor of Sacred Stories: Religion and Spirituality in Modern Russia (2007), and editor of Orthodox Christianity in Imperial Russia: A Source Book on Lived Religion (2014). Her current book project is a social and cultural history of the Orthodox clergy in 19th-century Kyiv province. She is co-editor (with Catherine Wanner) of the forthcoming book Religion and War in Ukraine: Unforeseen Consequences and New Challenges.
