Oksana Butkovska

Oksana Butkovska is a Ukrainian language instructor, linguist, and author of scholarly and teaching materials, with a PhD in general linguistics from the Lviv Franko National University. Her research interests include language policy, terminology, and methods of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language.

In 2023 she began collaborating with ULEC as a visiting scholar, and in 2025 she joined the team as a research assistant. She also teaches intermediate-level Ukrainian in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta.
