Alim Aliev

Alim Aliev is a journalist, human rights activist, researcher, and manager of educational and cultural projects. He graduated from Tavriia Vernadsky National University, Simferopol, majoring in political science. He worked as a program director at the “Crimean House” state enterprise, and has been a board member of the “Centre of United Actions” NGO and the “Educational Center for Human Rights” NGO in Lviv. He is a member and rapporteur of advocacy missions on Crimea to the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, the OSCE, UN Security Council, and EU and US political institutions, as well as an initiator of the “Tamırlar” digital museum on the deportation of Crimean Tatars. His public and professional activities are focused on the topics of occupied Crimea, humanitarian policy, current issues for the Crimean Tatar people, freedom of speech, and communication strategies.
